Late Night Edition

After I posted this morning, I went to work for the afternoon, came home, made dinner, went to Casey's for a "Creative Memories" party, came home again, watched Lost and Parenthood, and here we are...

But I couldn't go to bed without thanking you for the all of the wonderful comments, Facebook messages, e-mails, phone calls, chats, and face-to-face love and support that you have shown me today.

Thank you.

I wish everyone could experience the kind of support that I've received today.  The world would be a better place.

You make me brave.

This is me, straight out of the camera and completely unPhotoShopped, at 174 pounds.  I started at 215.  My highest (un-pregnant) weight was 222.  I have lost 48 pounds since then.  My goal is 135.  I am over halfway there.

I think I could lose another two if I got a haircut, what do you think?

(The before picture that I posted earlier was from our trip to Florida in October, 2009.  I started dieting on November 15, 2009.)

You looked like a wee-Amy on the couch the other night. So so proud of you... what dedication!

Amazing! You are stunning. But to tell you the truth, the first thing I noticed in this photo was your smile, not your SIGNIFICANTLY smaller waistline. Just goes to show... I just hope that is a genuine smile, not a nervous one. I love you, Amy. Keep up the fantastic and hard work. And, thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone and sharing this.

Wow! Way to go! You are inspiring people with these posts and in the proccess inspiring yourself. Don't stop until you reach that goal!

(On an unrelated note, could you tell me the name of that book series you were recently talking about? Some woman travels in time? I finally have time to read some and I know whatever you've been reading won't be dissapointing)

I think you look great in BOTH of the photos - the pre-diet one *and* this one. And I agree with Cathie - the first thing I noticed was your great smile. (Well, and your nose, because no matter what you think, I LOVE your nose. And your hair. I love your hair.....)

Amy you look great! Honestly, I noticed your posture first...I think you look confident! And like an active momma who can keep up with her Pretty Babies!

It is such a HUGE achievement to have lost nearly 50 lbs, please don't ever lose sight of that, no matter how far you feel you have to go. If you ever want to really "feel" what that extra 50 lbs is like, go to REI and try on a hiking backpack and ask them to fill it up with 50lbs and then walk around the store for 15 min or so. You'll quickly get the picture of what you've accomplished!

You're an inspiration to me!

AWESOME! You hottie! You must feel better too. I personally love those spandex 'boob lifter, suck in tummy hold stuff in' things. They smooth out the rolls and make things fit better and actually make me feel better. I can't believe how friggin fast your hairs grows! I actually think you looked younger with it shorter but maybe shorter hair is higher maintenance. Regardless, congrats!

I've been wanting to post a comment for awhile now...

I had my 2nd baby in late Oct. My kids are 2 1/2 yrs apart and I *think* I'm done having kids. We'll see:)

Anyway, I had checked in on your blog periodically before I had the baby. After coming home on maternity leave I wanted to make weight loss a bigger priority than I had after my first child. In a rare free moment I happened to come across your blog and it was such a treat to read about you starting the weight loss process right before the holidays as I was. Its such a daunting time of year to try and it helped to read about someone else working hard and being successful. I started at 194 and now I'm down to 160 and would like to hit 150 before summer. Thanks for all the tips, inspiration, and fun as I take this journey with you.

Amazing how the internet brings together total strangers who are going through the same struggles.
