Tonight at gymnastics each child got a little bag of oatmeal mixed with glitter - "reindeer dust" to sprinkle on the lawn for Dasher, Dancer, et. al. to eat when they stop on Christmas Eve.
Mary Grace must have misheard. "Look, Daddy! Reindeer guts!" she screamed.
She was delighted. Either she doesn't know what guts are, or we're raising a future doctor. As having a kid who becomes a doctor is my long-term health insurance plan, this is a Very Good Thing.

That is hilarious!
So is Santa going to make a stop at the prettybabies house THIS year??? I sure hope so!!!!
Considering that MG knows that "Dasher, Dancer, et. al." are not real, she really could have spilled the beans to all the kids in her gymnastics class!
Imagine what might have happened if she had not been excited about reindeer guts! Hahaha
I've heard about the reindeer dust. Sounds a little on the silly side to me.
Reindeer GUTS, on the other hand... that could be the gift from Santa that keeps on giving!
Ha Ha Ha...now that's funny! There should be a song about "raindeer guts". Thanks for the chuckle.
We do reindeer guts, I mean dust, every year, except without the oatmeal. They think it's reindeer food, and the glitter becomes non-existent by morning, so they're pretty stoked about it...
That's so funny! Konrad got some "Reindeer Dust" from school one year, but even at 3 my little guy was far too pragmatic. When I asked him what it was, he shrugged and said, "Oatmeal with glitter in it." lol
Haha. Reindeer guts. That is hilarious.
