I'm Not Here - Little Allouette Giveaway!

Since I'm off having fun, I thought we'd do a little giveaway today.

My friend Amy and her husband hand-make wooden teethers for babies, and they're adorable. If you have a baby in your life, your baby needs a teether.

And let's face it - all the stuff in the news the last year or two about plastics and BPA and how it causes everything from obesity to cancer? Scary. Very scary.

Amy's toys are 100% safe and natural. They use flax seed oil from Whole Foods that is certified organic to finish the wood. They shape and sand each piece by hand.

Her website is here and her Etsy store is here. Go poke around. Then come back and leave a comment - say something in French (or tell me what your favorite design is) and be sure to include an e-mail address. Amy will send one winner a hand-made, 100% natural teether. It's that easy!

I'll draw a winner in a couple of days! Good luck!!

J'aime le petit papillon en bois!
(That means)
I love the little wooden butterfly!
What a cool idea. Grace would love those.

Amy, you know my email address if I win!

The chunky teether of harper the hippo is awesome. My little guy is working on both eye-teeth and a bottom incisor and it is not fun... But I love your blog and have enjoyed reading about your family.

Salut Amy! Je prefere le T.Rex pour mon enfant.

These look awesome and I love that the T-Rex will be a good toy for Marc post-teething.

J'adore la giraffe -- but all of them are really cool. Iris is having such a hard time teething, way harder than big sister. She also loves to hold interesting things in her hands and turn them over and over, exploring, trying a bite here, or there -- and I can just imagine her doing that with one of these gorgeous, good-smelling, smooth-feeling wooden teethers. Exploring the website I can almost smell the wood aroma. :) ckoskey@hotmail.com

Voulez-vous coucher avec moi. My sincerest apologies, that is the only french I know. Oh, that and pamplemousse.
I love the T-Rex teether--any chance the wood will soak up the epic drool emitting from the mouth of my babe?
Thanks for offering the giveaway!

You seriously have people replying in french? Here's my reply...
ARE YOU NUTS? WHO GIVES THEIR KID A PIECE OF SANDED WOOD TO CHEW ON? WOOD SPLINTERS, AND SPLINTERS SHOULDN'T BE IN YOUR BABY'S MOUTH... but that's just my 0.02. Sorry Amy, maybe you know more about it than I, but does this sound like such a good idea? Of course, this is coming from someone who puts a 3 year old on an 1100# animal and says "go have fun..."
Love ya!

Vous avez l'odeur du fromage. Seriously, that was the first thing we learned to say in French 1 in high school. Still cracks me up. Anyway, I love the t-rex. My little boy just cut his first tooth. So we have many more to go. Although he is doing fairly well with it, so knock on wood. Ooo, I could just knock on the teether if I win. :P

I, sadly, know absolutely nothing in French. oh, except oui! :)
However, I do know that I love these little wooden teethers! They are adorable, I can't wait to tell my playgroup about them, although most of our toddlers are done teething. Luckily, I have a 3month old who will be teething soon, and she would *love* Gigi the giraffe teether!
