When I sleep, I dream about this house. Check out the floor plan. Isn't it amazing? Someday... Someday...
All the storage in those bonus rooms makes my toes curl. Three garages - one for all the tools and junk, one for each car. I wouldn't know what to do with myself with all this space. Each bedroom has its own bath (so of course it would be a bad house for toddlers - it'll be better that we wait to build it until they're older and can clean their own bathrooms!) It looks so cozy and homey. I love the master bedroom. I love the home office. I love the kitchen.

WOW! What a great house! BUT, you can't build it too far away!
I'm an architect in LA now, but plans like these (but in the magazines at the grocery store checkout) were my livelihood when I was growing up! I would beg my Mom to buy the magazines, check more of them out of the library, and dream about the homes I would build one day...including a few of my own creations on graph paper! Thanks for the little trip down memory lane :)
Love it!! The only thing I'm torn over is the laundry on the first floor.
Both houses I've owned have had a second floor laundry which I love. However, all the bedrooms were on the second floor as well... hence my dilemma :)
Fran, maybe I'll put one on each floor. If the kids will be old enough by then to clean their own bathrooms (and they most certainly will, unless house prices start to rise, and rise fast, really soon), they'll be old enough to do their own clothes! We'll put the W&D we have now upstairs, and get big ol' shiny frontloaders for downstairs. :)
Chelle - maybe I'll buy the house between us, raze this one and that one, and build it right here!
Maggie - If I had the slightest hint of artistic or spatial ability, I would've LOVED to have been an architect. Maybe in my next life...
It's beautiful! I love the master bedroom on the first floor.
I didn't read the fine print, but it says its only $875 with free shipping! Do they have a multiple purchase discount? BOGO?
wow.
i think i just had a private moment with your dream house. Hope you don't mind sharing like that. *Big Evil Grin*
I have been drawing houseplans for as long as I can remember. My mom built a custom home after she divorced my dad and we got to have some input (I was 16) but not quite the same. I like the practicality of this plan... groceries close to kitchen, laundry on main level...no formal living room. Fabulous. This is the best time on earth to build but unloading a house could be daunting. A girl's gotta dream. You go!

I love the HER closet compared to the HIS closet...:)
